This trickle charger takes its sweet time but does the job. Its small size makes it easy to carry and it plugs directly into the AC outlet using a recessed plug. Would have been nice if there was a quick chargecircuit.
I tried buying this elsewhere and ran into "Bait and Switch" etailers. This is an actual Canon brand charger. It seems to work just fine and the Canon batteries last as expected. Don't be seduced by these tactics. Stick with Canon products for your Canon camera.
Hey Its a battery charger; what can you say. Well it is super compact and light, charges super quickly and 120-240v perfect for travelling. Pity canon don't include it with their cameras
This is compact and lightweight. The charger can handle up to 240V. The plug folds into the charger itself so it stores flat. I took this on a trip to Asia and only needed a plug adapter to use it (no voltage converter needed). I would only get this if you have 2 batteries for your camcorder - you can still record while recharging the other battery. If you have only 1 battery, just use the in-camcorder charging feature but keep in mind this option will be slower.
The batteries are comparatively expensive, and the charger isn't cheap, but it's faster than the camcorder (which will also charge a battery) and leaves it free for use. This charger is compactly well-designed with good materials.
